Hi !

I am heading to the Trade Show in Houston Tx! And YOU can follow along HERE

It just seems like yesterday that I went to the spring trade show. The last months have passed in the blink of an eye, do you have years like this? wow.. can't believe it's been 6 months!

I have doing three presentations, book signings, talks, demos, looking for new guests for my radio show and seeing what is new!

PLUS Moda Fabrics is celebrating their 40th Anniversary! I know we are going to have an amazing party with Mr. Dunn who started the company. He and I were on the trip to South Africa a few years ago, so I got to know him very well. He is an amazing man. Very generous and supportive of the quilt industry. I'll get take lots of photos of the anniversary party!

She has been keeping thread scraps and asked WHAT to do with them! In my classroom you gave OVER 400 IDEAS! here are some of the interesting ideas .... (read the ALL here)

▪ Bettie M said - Cover a bowl with Saran Wrap and use glue and water mixture on threads to make a beautiful bowl.
▪ Vickie Y said - Some quilters put these in those clear glass ornament balls for the Christmas tree.
▪ Marie G said - Make a tamera ball. Not sure I spelled that right. It's Japanese.
▪ Virginia H and Pamela G said - if you like those flimsy thready scarves you can make one with the threads. Take 2 long pieces of water soluble stabilizer (length and width your scarf ), a same sized piece of tulle (optional) Lay out one piece of stabilizer, cover with about half the threads spaced evenly, place on the tulle, then spread on the rest of the threads, cover with second piece of stabilizer, pin so you can handle and free motion meander over the stabilizer, enough to hold the threads together but not so dense it just makes a stiff item. When done rinse the scarf in water till the stabilizer washes off, let dry and there you have it. You will need a ton of thread snips for this though. I have done this but was short on thread ends when I did so it wasn't very good. Now I don't save them. You do not need the tulle it's just as good without.

DO NOT put out for birds... ok? ok!
