WHO CANNOT TAKE THE MEDICINE:
Participants cannot take the medicine if they have:
• Breathing problems, such as strong asthma.
• Psychotic disorders, bipolar disorder or schizophrenia
- Taken any antidepressants within 4 weeks of the ceremony. Some antidepressants, such as Prozac, need to be discontinued for 30 days before the ceremony.
*It is imperative to share a list of all medications and illegal drugs taken with the facilitator. Drugs such as cocaine, amphetamines, stimulants, some cold medicines, harmaline, AYAHUASCA, and MAOI’s can have serious contraindications with the medicine and need to be discontinued at least two weeks prior to the ceremony. Ayahuasca and MAOI’s can be taken after toad but not before.
