Cider Saturday!

We're gonna have a little fun this Saturday. We've invited Olga and Brian Dressler of Downingtown to sample their Downingtown-made hard cider, Dressler Estate. And to keep things interesting, Frecon Farms will also be offering, for the first time ever, a tasting of their hard ciders! They are distinctly different, with Dressler Estate cider being a still cider, very wine-like, dry, and full of apple flavor. Frecon offers a full range of ciders, each with their own personality. But why am I telling you what they taste like when you'll be able to taste for yourself this Saturday!

About Dressler Estate

Olga and Brian Dressler are the husband-and-wife team behind Dressler Estate, a family owned cidery in Downingtown, PA. Olga and Brian work from a winemaker's perspective to create an elegant cider much like a fine dry white wine. Stop by their table and try a sample of their first release, Modern Still. You'll enjoy a taste of a dry, still cider with bright fruit and floral notes finishing with balanced acidity.

Aldebaran Farm - Our sweet pepper harvest is going strong - enjoy them sauteed with onions, stuffed and roasted in the oven, sliced raw with hummus or dip, or in any salad for a sweet and crunchy treat. Cook up our paste tomatoes with red peppers, blend into a sauce and add some eggplant with parmesan cheese for a delicious, seasonal meal that cannot be achieved with sauce from a jar. Our Food Artisans

cocky confections

Cocky Gourmet Confections - While we offer many delicious and non-traditional flavors of nut and seed brittle, we also offer most of these flavors "with Attitude". With attitude means with double the flavor or with some additional ingredient that takes the existing flavor, and in the words of Nigel Tufnel, takes it to 11.

katja

Katja's Empanadas - Take home some easy dinners: We make Puerto Rican/Spaniard food. Pick up our Gluten Free Pastelon (our Lasagna which has no pasta since we use Plantains). Frozen, Flashed fried in Coconut Oil Empanadas in different varieties (vegetarian too). Ready to heat any night of the week.

keepwell

Keepwell Vinegar - Vinegar fermentation has always been about the preservation of sugar. Sugar is converted to alcohol, which in turn ferments into acetic acid. At Keepwell Vinegar, we find that chasing local sources of sugar - maple, honey, fruit, sorghum, grain - delivers as wide a variety of delicious flavors as you could want.

mac and cheese

Sorelle Cucina - Sorelle Cucina will have our line of Gourmet Mac & Cheese Cups, Egg Muffins, Quiche, Lasagna and Eggplant Stacks. We are also introducing our Chicken Marsala which is the perfect Fall dinner. We will have hot & cold dips, pesto, tapenade and much more!

LS

The Loving Spoonful - Stemming from a love of all things tasty, The Loving Spoonful brings a variety of infused olive oils and vinegars to liven up any dish, dressing, marinade or even libation. In addition to new infusions such as Red Apple Dark Balsamic, Coconut White Balsamic, Persian Lime Olive Oil and a few others, we have new bottles as well. 500ml, 375ml & 60ml. We look forward to seeing you at Downingtown Farmers Market
