CANADA & ISRAEL // A FEW WEEKS OF INTENSE ACTIVITY

The month of May has proven to be a very interesting one for Canada and our relationship with the Israel.

Here is a quick timeline of events:

1 - On May 8th it was reported the Prime Minister Trudeau would apologize for the Government of Canada's anti-semitic actions against the Jewish people during WW2, specifically with the rejection of the St. Louis ship. Click here to read more.

2 - On May 14th the US Embassy relocated to Jerusalem. It was reported that Canada 'snubbed' the event and did not attend.

3 - Shortly after this Prime Minister Justin Trudeau called for an independent inquiry into what he termed as "Israel's excessive use of force" in a protest on May 14th that turned violent. Click here to read Justin Trudeau's full statement.

4 - Andrew Scheer challenged Trudeau's statement and called up him to equally denounce Hamas's involvement in the clashes.

5 - On May 30th it was reported that Canada and Israel have signed a ground breaking free trade agreement. Click here to read more.

While we are encouraged by the economic partnership and Prime Minister Trudeau's posture regarding previous Government's antisemitic actions, we are disheartened by his blatant bias in condemning Israel for the May 14th Gaza clashes and not drawing attention to Hama's role.

Michael Mostyn, Presiden of B'nai Brith, outlined the bias clearly in the article below.

We encourage you to take a moment to read Michael's article and e-mail Prime Minister Trudeau regarding this issue.

THIS TOPIC IS "ON" THIS WEEK // FAYTENE SHOW

We also encourage you to tune into (and share) the Faytene show this week where she will be discussing the issue of Canada's relationship with Israel. This show was filmed prior to many of these events and the timing of it's airing is stunning considering the above. Click here to find out about airing times and stations.

MOSTYN: PM Trudeau owes the Jewish State an apology

A recent guest on Faytene's show about anti semitism wrote an article stating the PM needs to apologize, bringing to light that those killed were overwhelmingly Hamas fighters and that Israel has the right to defend its borders. If Canada had weaponized terrorists at our border, he hopes our guards could use real bullets.

Scheer asks Trudeau to condemn Hamas in the House of Commons

Scheer calls for Hamas to be held accountable by our government

ACTION POINTS

Contact Justin Trudeau to let him know that you would like to see him condemn Hamas for it's incitement at Israel's border and apologize to Israel for blaming them without including Hamas's responsibility.

MEMBERS OF PARLIAMENT // Contact your Member of Parliament to ask them to hold Justin Trudeau to account for his statement.

Please click here to find your MP by postal code.

Your letter can be as simple as:

The Honourable Justin Trudeau:
I am asking that you retract your statement that condemned Israel for the violence at its border without holding Hamas responsible for inciting that violence. Please condemn Hamas for its part in the violent outbreak and stand with our ally Israel during this difficult time.

You must include your first and last name, and full address for MP's to read and address your correspondence.

PRAY

Pray for the peace of Jerusalem, Israel's capital. Pray for the love of Christ to be poured out upon each and every person living in Israel, Gaza, and surrounding nations. Pray that the truth be made known and that the media will not participate with Hamas so that the use of human shields will END!
