I have to tell you a story. It's true. I'm not sure I've shared this one in a long time...
Years ago when I was baby quilter, I took a workshop with a famous art quiltmaker. I learned SO much in that workshop. It was truly inspirational.
She offered to give us feedback on our work, but warned us she would say what she really thought.. So just be warned.
Now some might find that scary.. but I'm a 'no rules' quiltmaker.. and I really WANTED to know what she thought.
She did quilts considered art ... I did.. well.. quilts with Cow prints.. ha!
I shared several of my favorite quilts with her and I asked her advice (or opinion .. depending on how you view things.. ) She told me.. I had too many hearts.
Too ... many ... Hearts...
Thank goodness I didn't agree at ALL.. ha! I love hearts, put them on lots of projects including this sweetheart quilt in my Teach me to Machine Quilt book! Scrappy and fast to make... i love making heart quilts!
& Make a Heart Quilt to celebrate being true too who we are!
