INSPIRATION

inspiration

Think you’re a free thinker? Think again. Brands are influencing your decisions. This month, we explore Inspiration.

Inspiration is one of the most powerful motivators that brands use to influence consumers. When you’re inspired, brands tap into a sense of enthusiasm by appealing to you in a very personal way. That enthusiasm motivates you to act, and find ways to express what you felt at the moment
when your creative juices started flowing.

Timothy Yarger Fine Art in Beverly Hills is an internationally recognized dealer of contemporary artwork. With over 30 years of experience, founder Timothy Yarger represents a host of artists who inspire collectors to acquire their works of art. Brands that inspire can motivate action to acquire as well. By the simple act of buying, collecting and sharing merchandise with a logo on it, like-minded people are inspired to follow that trend. It’s a chain-reaction that keeps you in the brand.

Great brands find ways to form connections with consumers that continually engage in unexpected ways. A powerful technique is to inspire customers by appealing to their sense of creativity. When brands become a source of inspiration, people associate those products in a very positive light.

Is your brand a source of inspiration?

The moment of inspiration is a memorable experience. It’s the result of an appeal to our innermost sense of awe. When brands deliver intelligent creative expressions, new inventions or juxtaposed concepts, it’s easy to get excited. It’s that moment of recognition that captures attention, and snaps people out of their routine thoughts. The experience ignites your enthusiasm and gets customers thinking. That’s one way brands break though into your consciousness.

Finding ways to inspire people is what branding is all about... It’s simple:

>Inspiration motivates action

When customers are inspired, they are motivated to act. It’s a complex dynamic that relates to the very concept of inspiration itself. Inspiration transcends the practical focus on daily needs. It takes us beyond what we previously acknowledged, elevating you to a higher plane of consciousness.

In this way, feeling inspired can be a spiritual experience. It raises whomever created what inspired you to a higher level. That spiritual association with inspiration is fundamental in the concept of divinity [The Creator] who historically is revered as the ultimate source of inspiration. When your brand finds an alignment at this deep, personal level, the basis for a real connection is truly possible.

>A chain-reaction

The most critical element of inspiration is how it replicates. Inspired consumers are driven to share their experiences, and to find their own ways to inspire others. It’s a chain reaction that connects all acts of inspiration together through basic cause and effect. Each moment of inspiration is the source for the next one. More importantly, inspired customers remain receptive to future experiences that come from the same source. This provides an ongoing mechanism for endless opportunity. It’s just takes inspiration.

Our experience in the automotive aftermarket is showcased each year in Las Vegas at AAPEX- The Automotive Aftermarket Parts Expo. One of the largest trade fairs, the event brings the global auto care industry together for an annual three-day event. Flux Branding is proud to take the lead on exhibits for three internationally respected clients:

>Motorcar Parts of America stands among the largest manufacturers of replacement automotive parts. Flux Branding was selected to develop a massive 20’x110’ island exhibit to both showcase their products and position their brand. The exhibit included three conference rooms, custom product displays and LED towers featuring custom motion graphics. A new campaign concept “Your Source” was launched to underscore the total value proposition.

>Recochem is a global producer of functional fluids for transportation, household and industrial applications. Flux Branding was selected to develop a 20’x30’ island exhibit to showcase their antifreeze and diesel exhaust fluid products. The exhibit featured backlight fabric panels that changed colors, a visual way to promote their line of 8 colored antifreeze formulations. The campaign concept “Find Your Match” was promoted to underscore the product’s promise— the right antifreeze for your vehicle.

>D&V Electronics produces advanced testing equipment used by major manufacturers of electric motors, specifically for OE in the newest electric vehicles. Flux Branding was selected to develop a 10’x20’ exhibit that reflected the company’s new ownership. An all new 20’x40’ exhibit is currently under development for Automechanika Shanghai, later this month.

Allison Underwood’s recent life-changing trek across the country to Los Angeles was singularly fueled by a moment of inspiration... a documentary on the minimalist lifestyle.
