A Yuletide customer favorite year after year, our freshly poured, hand-dipped, true Bayberry candles are once again available for purchase. This year we are offering them in three unique sizes: votives, tapers, and 3" x 3" pillars.

Our all natural, real bayberry wax is made in the traditional way, with pure beeswax added to the blend so that the resulting candles are less brittle and have a long, beautiful, and bright flame. Natural bayberry candles such as ours have a long burn time, nearly doubling that of paraffin. Burning a bayberry taper candle on Yuletide Eve, Christmas Eve, or New Year's Eve is said to bring good fortune.

Real, true bayberry wax candles are cherished for their fine quality. They produce a bright light, minimal smoke, and a delicate pleasant aroma. Real bayberry wax has a very faint herbal aroma. It doesn't carry the scent enough to call it a "fragrance"; however, I personally think it has a gentle fragrance that reminds me of a crisp, snowy morning surrounded by evergreens.

Many chandlers add fragrance (and make "bayberry scented candles" which are made of paraffin wax), however, our bayberry candles are completely natural in keeping with the original bayberry candle manufacturing process.

Over the years, the burning of bayberry candles on New Year's became a tradition, creating a saying by who, no one knows, yet the tradition continues today:

"This bayberry candle is a gift from a friend,
On Yuletide Eve burn it down to the end.
