Hello, friends!

So yesterday I was packing for our camping trip and realized that half my kids don't have swimsuits that fit. So off we went to Walmart at 4:30 PM with a cranky baby and his five older siblings. As we were in line I told the woman behind me that we were gearing up for our first family camping trip.

She said she was tempted to give me her address so I would write her afterward and tell her how it went! Clearly she had her doubts about the wisdom of this adventure... so do I, actually. :)

But I love having the kids home for the summer.

Yes, it's loud and busy, and sometimes crazy, but I know the days of having all my kids home with me won't last forever. So this summer I'm working extra hard to find time to play one-on-one with my kids.

activity plans 1

I'm using Hands On As We Grow's activity plans - they're perfect for kids ages 2-5.

They're also perfect for moms like me... who are often frazzled and need something simple with easy to grab supplies. (Because if it's complicated, I won't do it!)

And here's some great news for you...

Today only (Thursday) there's a SUMMERTIME SPECIAL with the Weekly Activity Plans and Camp Mom: Summer Activities Pack. You basically get Camp Mom for free!

Now you'll have activity ideas for the little ones in your life AND the big kids!

Are you ready for one more challenge to kick off the summer?

These challenges are meant to be a little push to get you to do a quick and easy activity (and have some fun) with your child. They're also kind of a peek into the type of activities that are included in the weekly activity plans.

Below I am listing three quick activities for you to do with your kids TODAY. Pick one, two, or do all three!

ACTIVITY 1: Paint with water! Paint the sidewalk, driveway, fence, the house...my kids actually love painting chalkboards with water.

ACTIVITY 2: Find a great walking stick and clip off any sprouts. Decorate it with paint.

ACTIVITY 3: Go on a scavenger hunt around the yard to explore textures. Can your find something that's bumpy, soft, smooth, rough, etc?

If I were active on Instagram, I'd see you over there, but you'll have to bear with me and reply to this email with a quick photo. I'd love to see you and your kids in action!

Because I'm really going to need some cheering up after our camping "adventure..." ;)

I can't wait to see your pictures! Be sure to introduce yourself too. I'd love to get to know you!

P.S. Don't forget to snag the Camp Mom deal before it ends. We can chat all summer about the activities we're finally making time for...

This is the summer that I'm determined to look more in my kids' eyes than at the computer screen. Are you in?
