Closed Tuesday, Dec. 25 and Tuesday, Jan. 1

If you have regular trash pickup day on Tuesday, your trash will be picked up on Wednesday. There will be a one-day delay for Wed-Fri collections these holiday weeks (Wednesday trash pickup will be on Thursday, Thursday on Friday, and Friday on Saturday.)

(shipping Styrofoam ONLY; NO food containers/insulation)


(bubble wrap, air pillows, foam sheeting, packing paper)

* Christmas Tree Lights

(all sizes; bulbs larger than mini size removed)



ALL materials MUST be DRY & CLEAN (dust OK, NO grease)


1) Leave NOTHING attached (NO tape, NO glued paper)

2) BAG different items SEPARATELY. NO BOXES, PLEASE. (Bagging unnecessary for LARGE pieces of Styrofoam.)

3) SECURE bags of peanuts & small materials so these items cannot fly or blow out.

the recycler who can take our Styrofoam is 4 hours away!

$1 donation per lge bag of Styrofoam requested.

October 27 Drug Take-Back Collection

Across Buncombe County, at the 8 designated sites, more than


of medications were collected, keeping them out of the hands of those they were not prescribed for and out of our water and soil.

to all the volunteers and law enforcement officers
who staffed the collection sites!
