Ethica Wins Education Leadership Award
The Asian Leadership Awards committee honors Ethica Institute of Islamic Finance with the “Education Leadership Award.”

The Asian Leadership Awards committee today announced that it awards Ethica Institute of Islamic Finance the “Education Leadership Award.” The Asian Leadership Awards are a non-profit body whose criteria for selecting Ethica ranged from general market perception to specific feedback from professionals and students from around the world. Ethica Institute of Islamic Finance, the Dubai-based institute offering the Certified Islamic Finance Executive (CIFE), has certified professionals working in over 100 financial institutions in 56 countries.
What made the award unique is that it is the first time an Islamic finance institute has won the award in education leadership at the Asian Leadership Awards. Dr R. L. Bhatia, Chairman of the Jury at the Asian Leadership Awards, said, “We searched the globe for the industry leader in education, searching both conventional and Islamic finance certifiers. Ethica’s Islamic finance training and certification came away the clear winner because of the quality of the curriculum delivery and the students’ feedback.”
Ethica’s spokesperson said, “We are honored to receive this award. In reality, this award is shared by the many professionals who make Shariah-compliant Islamic finance a possibility. Education is just a small part in making Islamic finance Islamic and conventional finance interest free and we are honored that Ethica’s part in this education is recognized by the Asian Leadership Awards.”
Ethica recently announced several new initiatives including its master classes covering AAOIFI’s standards, training at Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank and two other undisclosed Islamic banks, knowledge partnership with Madinah Institute for Leadership and Entrepreneurship (MILE), launch of a 700 page handbook on Islamic finance, and the launch of the Advanced CIFE in Islamic Accounting.
