Buddha Maitreya will be offering a one-day Dharshan from the sacred abode of Jesus Christ ~ the Church of Shambhala Vajradhara Sangha Maitreya Monastery in Lake County, Northern California. As we start the cycle of this new decade, it is an opportunity to sit and take teachings from Jesus Christ as though you were sitting with Him 2000 years ago.

Saturday February 29th - One Day Dharshan

There is an offering of $1100 to attend this Dharshan in person at the Shambhala Vajradhara Maitreya Sangha Monastery plus $150 to cover Dharshan food and expenses. The Dharshan offering to attend virtually is $1000. The Dharshan will be a full day - Saturday February 29th.

From November - December 2019, Buddha and Tara visited Nepal as part of the Pilgrimage for World Peace. Throughout their stay they were invited to many Monasteries and Vihars (Temples) from different Buddhist traditions throughout the Kathmandu Valley and Lumbini, the birth place of Gautama Buddha - including Maitri Vihar and Nyanang Phelgyeling Monastery at Swayambhu Stupa in Kathmandu.

Gaden Jam Gon Ling Maitri Vihar is located on the north side of Swayambhu Stupa. In Sanskrit the name means Maitreya Monastery, another name, Ganden Sambling Monastery in Tibetan means Buddha Maitreya's Heaven monastery. The original small monastery was built in 1949 and expanded in 1964 after the exile from Tibet. In 1978 Lubum Rinpoche was asked to take care of the Monastery and it was rebuilt in 1986. The Monastery has received regular support from Buddha Maitreya and Tulku Tara since the 1990s, including the establishment of a homeopathic clinic in 1999.

On Nov 24th Buddha Maitreya and Tulku Tara were welcomed back to Maitri Vihar for Puja and to offer Teachings. The Monastery offered a statue of Sakyamuni Buddha to Buddha Maitreya and Green Tara to Tulku Mandarava Tara. The Monastery received an offering of Buddha Maitreya's Planetary Healing Form - the Christ Cross Star.

The original Nyanang Shedrup Gaden Phelgye Ling Monastery was established in Tibet in 1689 by the 5th Dalai Lama, as a branch of the illustrious Sera Mey Monastery and part of the Gelupa sect of Tibetan Buddhism. The Monastery was originally built at Nyanang - inside the border of Tibet, close to Nepal - the location of one of the 4 great hermitage sites of Jetsun Milarepa.

In 1959 during the Cultural Revolution, some of the monks fled to Nepal, bringing many sacred items from the Monastery with them. The new Phelgye Ling Monastery was constructed in 1972 at the foot of Swayambhu Stupa, it is the oldest Dorje Shugden Monastery in Nepal.

On November 30th, as part of the World Peace Pilgrimage, Buddha Maitreya and Tulku Tara were invited to the Monastery by Abbot Khenpo Sangye Kalsang. Buddha Maitreya and Tara were asked to light the butter lamps representing the Light of the Dharma Activities and Teaching on World Peace. After receiving offerings from the Monastic Community, Buddha Maitreya gave a profound Teaching on Dorje Shugden and furthering the Dharma and committed to helping the Monastery with their current needs as well as support a growing young monastic community.

Through many of his lives, Buddha Maitreya the Christ has founded and taught within Tibetan Buddhism. In this incarnation His Certificates of Recognition and Enthronements include the Founder Buddhism Sakyamuni Buddha, the Founder of Tibetan Buddhism Padmasambhava,; the founder of the Gelupa Order Je Tsong Khapa and the Great Tibetan Yogi Saint Milarepa. Buddha Maitreya is also known for building, restoring and supporting Monasteries in Tibet, India and Nepal in addition to being the sole sponsor of the Namgyal Victory Stupa in Dharamsala, India.
