Dear friends and colleagues,

As we busily wish each other happiness (i.e., Happy Thanksgiving) and merriment (i.e., Merry Christmas), the truth is that the holidays are a time of mixed emotions. It's family time. And for parents, it's often a time for hand wringing. We love our kids. We try so hard to do right by them.

Do you wonder, as you run around like a crazy person outspending and outdoing yourself to create a magical holiday for your kids, whether you've got it all backwards?

If you do, you're not alone.

If you do, you'll want to listen to our next radio show.

Our guest just may help you save some money, save your sanity, and help put your kids on a more successful, fulfilling path.

Fearless Parent Radio

12/4 Show: Janine Walker Caffrey, EdD

What do you think about kids today? We asked and boy, did we get an earful!

spoiled
entitled
lazy
bored
blase
undisciplined
rude

"How could this be??" the parents wailed. "We give them everything."

Enter Dr. Janine Walker Caffrey. She has a doctorate in education and deep experience as a parent, teacher, superintendent, and school founder working with a great diversity of children, from at-risk to special needs, stateside and abroad. Janine knows about children. More specifically, she knows how to motivate children to be self-starters, successful learners, and involved citizens.

Because the reality is that over 1/3 of today's "kids" in their 20s and 30s are "boomerang-ing" right back into your feathered nest for years...

Janine knows how to get them out of the house, pursuing their goals, and living their lives!

Join us on the air tomorrow morning 12/4/13 for an eye-opening discussion about what it takes to light a fire under our kids.

She has practical strategies for parents and we're betting you'll adopt a bunch of them. We definitely are!

Comment on our Radio Blog, read the list of changes Louise and Alison are making in our families, and you might win a copy of Janine's book.

Listen live on PRN.fm, every Wednesday at 11 a.m. Eastern
