April 3 Speakers event change

The speakers previously scheduled for April 3 will be coming on April 20th instead.

Body and Sold graphic 2

Over 100,000 young Americans run away from home every year. Within 48 hours of being on the street these teens will be approached by a man posing as a friend, offering food, shelter, and love.

Special Event

Join us on May 5 and 6 at 8pm and on May 7 at 2pm for Body & Sold by Deborah Lake Fortson. The Laboratory Theater of Florida is proud to present a limited run of this stunning play about human trafficking.

Taken from real stories of victims of human trafficking, the play sheds light on a growing problem in southwest Florida. Each performance will feature a post-show discussion with members of the community who work to bring awareness to this issue, who work with victims of trafficking, and who work to bring sex traffickers to justice.

This presentation is made possible by a grant from the Manning Family Trust Fund, and from a cooperative grant from the SWFL Community Foundation for a larger human trafficking awareness project with Human Trafficking Awareness Partnership (HTAP).

Tickets are available HERE or by calling (239)218-0481. This presentation is included in the 2016-2017 Season Ticket package.
