Pray for You

Prayer

For whom are you praying today?
How can we pray for you?

We are here to pray with and for you, anytime! Prayer needs sent by early Monday morning will be included in the weekly Joys & Concerns email. We are also glad to send out prayer requests and praise reports anytime throughout the week!

Encouragement

Thank you to Marcia Kreps for sharing and Darla Smith
for writing these weekly bits of encouragement.

"I pray your week has been fantastic. Even though we have cooler temperatures here in Ohio, it's still April so we can expect just about anything here. We've even seen some ice balls, sleet, snow, and then clearing up. Keeps us on our toes for sure. Expect anything and enjoy everything! God made it all."

"My WORD for this week is “ASSIGNMENT.” No, we aren’t going back to school, but we have all been given an “assignment” of one sort or another – even could be multiple “assignments” – Are we ready? When God gave me this word immediately, I thought of the old TV show (showing my age here) GET SMART, where a secret agent was given an “assignment” that he usually messed up – it was a comedy, but in the end, he always got the bad guy. Anyway, we are all given an “assignment” to do for the day from God. It may be only to smile at someone to make them have a better day, but it is an important “assignment” nonetheless. Every morning on my way to work I pray, “God, let me make a difference in someone’s life today.” Now whether I do or don’t, I am always looking for that opportunity to do so. To make a difference in someone’s life really doesn’t cost us anything – other than a little part of us. And if you are anything like me, you have plenty to go around (not monetarily, just blessings). God has blessed my husband and I every day. I am always looking for an opportunity to bless someone else. I pray we all take our “assignment” seriously every day. There are so many that are counting on me and you. As the scripture I chose below says – Go everywhere and tell the Good News – to everyone. Come on – there are so many that are counting on us! Let’s make a difference everyday – let’s tell the Good News – let’s encourage and bless others – EVERYDAY! Let’s get contagious in our blessings!"

Jesus said to his followers, “Go everywhere in the world, and tell the Good News to everyone."
~ Mark 16:15 (NCV)

We closed out last week with an awesome work day with the Crestview class. We got so much done together! Our crew will be growing potatoes in buckets this season and the Crestview class helped us drill holes to get ready.

The cold weather on Monday and Tuesday kept us in the building and in the warehouse. We did some cleaning, took donations to the warehouse, and made chain links to decorate the Café to celebrate spring. Mike Ashby was in on Tuesday to teach the clients all about tractor and mower maintenance. We got everything but the Ford tractor ready for the planting season and hope to get that done later this week. Everyone pitched in, using the grease gun, pouring in the oil, changing filters, and more. Thanks, Mike, for all the teaching and hands-on experience!

Since Wednesday and today have brought nice weather, we have been glad to get back outside, enjoying a beautiful nature walk along with getting lots of work done. We have continued cleaning up limbs and started to get rasied beds cleaned out for this year's plants. We've also been pulling up plastic, mowing, and weed whacking. Around here, weed whacking is a much loved task. We are lucky to have some very enthusiastic weed whackers!
