Autumn is a second spring when every leaf is a flower. - Albert Camus
Fall seemed to arrive overnight here. As soon as the calendar flipped the page to November and the time change came into effect, the temperature dropped and the leaves fell, seemingly all at once.
Taking the queue from the changes in the garden and the crisp air, this week's newsletter is dedicated to the beauty and flavors of fall.

Pinecones are iconic natural items to use for seasonal decor. Instead of painting or bedazzling them with glitter this year, try bleaching them with this tried and true method.
Burlap reminds me of fall almost as much as fiery-colored leaves do. This project combines some of my very favorite craft supplies to work with: mason jars, fall leaves, and burlap ribbon. It's a simple project that will add a rustic glamour to fall entertaining or make a great gift.
A bug hotel is part garden art and part winter habitat for beneficial insects. As teh temperature dips, the beneficial army of critters who take care of your garden are looking for a place for a long winter's nap.
