"On Friday [or Saturday] evenings, she can arrange a video chat 'sleepover' with a friend, where she's allowed to stay up as late as she wants to chat / play / make art with a friend since she can't do those things in person," he says. Lifehacker's Meghan Moravcik Walbert applauds the idea, and suggests some ways to make it even more special, including setting up a tent and coordinating with other parents so the kids can eat the same dinner and snacks together. "Implement as few rules as possible and let them stay up as late as they want," she says. "They'll be tired tomorrow, but they don't have anywhere to be anyway." | A Free World Explorer Calendar of Activities for Every Day of Summer! We are here to pray with and for you. We will be sharing prayers and praises in church, during our "Joys & Concerns" time. If you are worshiping with us online, please take a minute to send in your prayer needs by early Monday mornings for inclusion in the weekly Joys & Concerns email. We are also glad to send out prayer requests and praise reports anytime throughout the week! Thank you! | Encouragement Thank you to Marcia for sharing and Darla for writing these weekly words of encouragement. May we all seize our opportunities to bless others, this week and beyond. "God is certainly blessing us with some nice Summer weather. Thanking God for the rain this afternoon. The gardens and flowers are singing and dancing! He cares for all of us along with the flowers! We are His stunning flowers that shine for Him." "The word God laid on my heart this week is OPPORTUNITY. We are all given opportunity each day. It is our choice what we do with it. I took the opportunity when Covid-19 started to encourage you all with a weekly email. I have been so blessed doing this. You are all very near and dear to my heart for sure. We need to take advantage of our opportunities when God places in our path. Tell someone they look nice. Smile/wave at someone. Send a card or note to someone. Buy someone's meal in the drive-thru. Reach out to someone you haven't seen or talked to in a while. Hold the door open for someone. Pray with someone (and if you say you will pray for someone - please do). Try to only say kind words. Forgive someone (God will give you this opportunity if you ask Him). Take a meal to someone that may not be able to get out. Ask the Holy Spirit to guide you to the right opportunity. This will be so rewarding to us all! The giver and the receiver. Be a blessing to someone by catching that OPPORTUNITY!" ~ Darla Smith Galatians 6:10 ~ Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all, especially to those who are of the household of faith. | July Worship ~ In-Person and Online Pastor Mike Hileman ~ Sundays at 11:00am Join us at church or online via Facebook Live: Connecting Life We will continue to be guided by the health and safety guidelines set forth by the governor and the health department. | Rock Kidz Uganda, Inc.
