"I pray you all had a Blessed Easter weekend. The weather was fantastic here in Ohio! Lots of sunshine for sure. A memory came up on my Facebook page from 2013. My sister had said something that I loved so I saved it. “A great life is always one exciting turn after another. You must be stretched beyond your comfort zone to discover how much you can accomplish.” Wow! Just wow! God is always right on time for the Word for the week. To say I am surprised would not be correct. I am humbled that He is using me for such a time as this." "The Word God gave me is “STRETCH.” Are we willing to say, "Ok God – I am here. You can “stretch” me." I read this today, a modern-day beatitude could be, "Blessed are the flexible, for they shall not be broken." Do we feel flexible? You know, when I get out of bed in the morning, sometimes I “stretch” my arms or bend back a little to get moving, if you know what I mean. An athlete does some “stretch” exercises before going full force into movement with all they have. Possibly, if we do not “stretch,” there may be aches and pains to contend with. Even though sometimes we may not want to “stretch," in the long run, it is better for us. Same with God. Do not resist the “stretch. Go with His plan. There is victory in the “stretch.” We will grow in the “stretch.” God wants to “stretch” our confidence. God wants to “stretch” our self-esteem. Our faith builds in the “stretch.” Being “stretched” by God, we will be able to cover more ground to be a blessing to others. Jesus did the ultimate “stretch" for us – He “stretched” out His hands and loved us! I pray we will embrace the “stretch.” “Enlarge the place of your tent, And let them stretch out the curtains of your dwellings; Do not spare; Lengthen your cords, And strengthen your stakes. ~ Isaiah 54:2 (NKJV) | Men - Mark Your Calendars! We dove into the front landscaping, weeding and planting some gorgeous Easter flowers for all to enjoy! There is nothing like being outside in the fresh air, enjoying the weather and the new flowers. This first full week of April also saw us getting some more veggies planted outside, moving sprouts out of the building and into the greenhouse, and, of course, watering and weeding.
