On the evening of Thursday, June 26, Kollaboration LA will commemorate its 15th year anniversary at Hollywood’s Troubadour, previously named NBC’s “Best Venue in LA” and Rolling Stone’s second best American rock club of 2013. The stage is famous for its premium acoustics and audio management, fitting for this year’s musically talented finalists and guest performers. Of the five finalists, one standout act will advance to Kollaboration Star to compete against other winners from this year’s eight participating cities.
With over 25,000 attendees aggregated throughout its storied history, Kollaboration LA will continue its success in consolidating the city’s Asian American community via its motto -“empowerment through entertainment.” Ticket sales for the show open on June 5, 2014. Ticket will be $20 at the door. All proceeds will fund future Kollaboration events-as well as the website, blog, and video content-ergo perpetuating the organization’s overarching purpose. Accordingly, the LA chapter will host various community-focused events this year-such as charity concerts, open mic nights, and community service outings.
