NEWS & EVENTS

Summer at GG

Monday was a perfect summer day which gave us time to work on weeding and other outdoor chores that the rain has made difficult. We even had time to appreciate baby bunnies, butterflies, and bugs! Tuesday was full of more outside work - weeding, planting, weed whacking - as well as the inside tasks of jam making and cooking. Sue, Tori, and Dustin made a lunch of tuna melts, watermelon, cucumbers, and tomatoes. A perfect summer meal! In the morning, the lunch crew also worked on rebuilding our jam supply. In the afternoon, Rachel and Cameron replaced Sue in the kitchen, with Cameron becoming our newest GG jam maker! Wednesday brought more work outside and in the warehouse, as warehouse renovations have started. It looks like today will be a return to the constant rain, so we'll be dodging raindrops as we prepare for CSA pick-up! Feel free to stop by and visit us one of these days to see all we can accomplish together.

Next week will begin with a Monday morning visit to Whispering Pines.

Upcoming Events

Tomorrow, July 12, 6-10pm - Mission Night Market
Saturday, July 13, 9am-3pm - Youngstown Flea
Mondays, 5-8pm - Austintown Farmers Market

In one week (July 19 & 20), we will be at the Columbiana Wine Fest at Firestone Farms. The first 150 ticket buyers will receive one of our handmade wine charms. More info and tickets available HERE.

For I was hungry and you gave me food;
I was thirsty and you gave me a drink;
I was a stranger and you took me in;
I was naked and you clothed me;
I was sick and you visited me.
I was in prison and you came to me.

.....When you did it to one of the least of these my brothers and sisters,
you were doing it to me.

Matthew 25: 35-36, 40
