Hello, friends.

We are in Southern California and, luckily, safe from the latest round of climate-change-aggravated blazes. We send love to all who have been affected by the fires and strength to us all to continue to fight this climate-denier, corporate-controlled administration, that threatens our lives and our planet.

And, in the wake Trump's explosive and dangerous announcement regarding Jerusalem, we send strength and renewed commitment to all of us who continue to fight for a just peace for Palestine & Israel, especially tonight, as many of us celebrate the first night of Hanukkah! It's easy to feel despair and shock so, as a reminder of how much justice work is being done for peace in the Middle East and an inspiration to take action, read on for some of the organizations that we have encountered over the years, so you can get involved, speak out and take action.

We made 52 pounds of our Sweet Revolution Homemade Toffee and 56 pounds of our Sweet Revolution Homemade Spiced Pecans for last year's holiday season. And we're ready to make more!

Made with love and Organic and Fair-Trade Ingredients., both recipes have a long and yummy history: Pat got the toffee recipe from a friend's mom and has been adapting and perfecting it over many years. She first tasted the spiced nuts at a holiday gathering at Pete & Toshi Seeger’s house and she still uses this friend-of-a-friend's recipe.

We make and package each batch by hand and here's what Deb M. had to say about the toffee:

"I just wanted to take a moment to let you know that your chocolate arrived and has been tickling my sweet tooth all week. It tastes fabulous...and I admit I have not shared a morsel with any of my employees :) nor do I feel guilty - as of yet.

Who knew it would take a woman in a song writing work shop telling me to go check out "Swimming to the Other Side" to get some of the best chocolate ever. Thanks for sending it!"

A Just Peace for Palestine & Israel

As a reminder of how much justice work is being done for peace in the Middle East and an inspiration to take action, below are just a few of the organizations that we have worked with over the years, so you can get involved, speak out and take action for a just peace!

Combatants For Peace: "In 2006, Israeli and Palestinian former combatants, people who had taken an active role in the conflict, laid down their weapons and established Combatants for Peace."

"Kids4PeaceBoston educates, trains and inspires Christian, Jewish, and Muslim youth from diverse backgrounds to become interfaith peace leaders."

"The One Voice Movement is a global initiative that supports grassroots activists in Israel, Palestine, and internationally who are working to build the human infrastructure needed to create the necessary conditions for a just and negotiated resolution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict."

"Jewish Voice for Peace members are serious about making change. We work with diverse communities across the U.S. to achieve a lasting peace for Palestinians and Jewish Israelis based on equality, human rights,
and freedom."

Tikkun and Network of Spiritual Progressives: Both a magazine and a movement, whose core beliefs include a commitment "to full and complete reconciliation between Israel and the Palestinian people within the context of social justice for the Palestinians and security for Israel."

"CODEPINK is a women-led grassroots organization working to end U.S. wars and militarism, support peace and human rights initiatives, and redirect our tax dollars into healthcare, education, green jobs and other
life-affirming programs."

Machsom Watch is a volunteer organization of Israeli women who are peace activists from all sectors of society . . . On a daily basis, we monitor the West Bank checkpoints,the separation fences, the agricultural gatesinfo-icon, the military courts and Palestinian villages. We document what we see and what is reported to us by local Palestinians."
