Dear Women of the Guild,

During this month of November, we pause to give thanks for the gift of time and talent donated by so many women from our Guild community. Their generosity has provided a variety of programming which allows everyone a chance to gather and connect through our shared faith. Truly a blessing to have these women on board!

Looking at November's busy calendar, we have a little something for everyone starting this Wednesday morning in the Parish Center with a special presentation on the Art & Architecture of FHC. And if you'd rather opt for a little more hands-on activity, join us on November 10th to make flower arrangements for those in need of cheer! Information for both events can be found later in this newsletter.

Finally, the generosity of our volunteers continues with the Guild's Annual Advent Candlelight program on December 1st. Registration for this popular event begins this Thursday morning at 10am with sign-up preference given to dues paying Guild members. See below for details and signup link.

Enjoy these final days of autumn and happy Thanksgiving to you and your family!

Heaven On Earth | Wednesday, November 3rd

The Art & Architecture of Saints Faith, Hope & Charity

Join architectural historian Dr. Denis McNamara for a presentation on the beauty and theology of Sts. Faith, Hope and Charity Church.

This illustrated lecture will explain the unique design of the building and introduce its architect, Edward Schulte, designer of four cathedrals and the best known Catholic church architect of the mid-twentieth century. Learn how our church uses fine material and Catholic symbolism to make an architectural rendition of heaven on earth.

After the lecture, join us for a short tour of the church along with time for questions and answers.

October Recap

What a busy month! Pam Coster guided 20 ladies through the Chicago Botanic Garden for a peaceful and meditative prayer walk! And several weeks later, over 100 ladies gathered to Sip & Shop and help support Josephinum Academy of the Sacred Heart, Chicago. A lovely evening to reconnect with old and new friends. A special thank you to the participating vendors and the Sip & Shop committee who made this special event possible!
