* Please do not arrive at Rope Mill before 9:30 am - bike race check-in will not be available until this time, as there is a trail run in the morning before the bike race.

We have plenty of room left in this event if you have friends who'd like to join us! Registration is open until 5pm on May 24th!

CHECK-IN

▪ Saturday Check-in hours are from 9:30 am to 11:30 am. Please do not arrive before 9:30 am - there is a trail run earlier in the morning and we are trying to prevent overcrowding at the trailhead. When you arrive, parking helpers will direct you where to park - please park where directed as we are trying to fill spots as they empty from the morning run. Its likely that you may need to park up at Kirk Rudy (1/2 mile away), so bring a backpack so you can ride down to the park with all your gear.
▪ Proceed to appropriate check-in line with waiver. You will receive your race bib and swag at this time. Hand sanitizer will be available.
▪ Port-o-lets as well as permanent bathrooms with running water will be available at this venue.
▪ Team tents for hanging out/rider support can be set up in the grass picnic area along the river. Tents may not be set up in any parking lots per the City of Woodstock. You will need to cross the race course to get to this area.

RACE PROCEDURES

▪ Make sure your number plate is attached to your Handlebar (twist ties will be in your race bag) - do not bend the foam timing chip.
▪ Brief Pre-Race Meeting at 11:30 am in front of bathrooms
▪ A Water/HEED station for bottle refills will be available at Mile 5.8 and Mile 9.1, as you enter/exit the Explorer Loop.
▪ Course will be well marked with pink ribbons and pink/black arrow signs. Pink ribbons indicate the direction you want to head and are also used to designate that you are on-course if it has been a while in between turns. Course marshals will be positioned throughout the course for your safety. YOU MAY NOT PRE-RIDE THE FULL COURSE IN RACE DIRECTION ON FRIDAY AS THE TRAIL IS DIRECTIONAL BY DAY. You can pre-ride the Mill Trails in race direction on Sun-Mon-Wed-Fri. You can pre-ride Explorer and Avalanche Trails in race direction on Sat-Tues-Thurs.
▪ ANNOUNCE if you are passing to riders ahead and say RIDER BACK, PASSING RIGHT or PASSING LEFT and give them a chance to move to the side. PLEASE BE PATIENT, WORK TOGETHER, BE NICE and give each other space out on the trails.
▪ Because we have many start waves, the faster riders in the later waves may catch riders who start in earlier waves. Again, PLEASE BE PATIENT, WORK TOGETHER, BE NICE and give each other space out on the trails.

Your body needs to run at peak capacity so you can get your best result during the race. Here are a few tips from Hammer Nutrition to get started and make sure your body runs at peak capacity from start to finish!

Tip #1 Hydration: Replenish, don’t replace! Keep fluid intake below 25 oz./hr during exercise. FIND OUT HOW MUCH

Tip #2 Caloric Intake: Stay fueled, but not overwhelmed, by consuming 120-180 calories/hr. ARE CARBS BEST?

Tip #3 Electrolytes: You need an array of vitamins and minerals, not just salt, to finish strong. WHAT DO YOU NEED?

Tip #4 Pre-Event Fueling: Don’t tax your system with a meal within 3 hours of start time. BUT WHAT IF YOU'RE HUNGRY?

Tip #5 Recovery: Refuel your tank with 60 minutes of finishing a workout. ARE CARBS OR PROTEIN BETTER?

Take a look at how Hammer Nutrition provides you energy, endurance, and recovery with their fuels, supplements, and recovery products here.

Be sure to look for the card in your swag bag that contains a coupon with code for a full size bag of Ka'Chava Shake Mix. These are shipped directly to your home, you just need to cover the $7.99 to ship, which is still a great deal as a bag is $60-$70 retail.
