Tallon Noble on Europe Tour and Nationals

tallon-sprint-21

As we boarded the plane to Europe I really had no idea what to expect of the coming two weeks. This being my first ever experience in Europe I was pretty nervous and really not that confident in my preparations as I had spent another week off training sick following westerns. After an extremely long and delayed travel day that lasted over 24hrs we arrived at the Hotel Hochider in Seefeld Austria. Jet lag awoke us long before the sunrise so we got to watch the mountains light up from our hotel room overlooking the small town of Seefeld. The few days we spent in Austria flew by, with 270km of absolutely gorgeous ski trails from the front door we had some beautiful training days... Click here for the rest of his blog update.

Congrats on a hard working year Tallon and thank you for sharing your journey with us!!

Well done at the Nationals in March in Charlo, New Brunswick.

Junior Team Alumni

Calling all alumni, if you are in town for the weekend, please come up for a ski on the May Camp weekend, May 5 and 6th, and encourage our younger skiers, devos and juniors! Also please join us for the annual club potluck and awards, this year held at the Vancouver Island Mountain Center on Sunday, May 6th at 5:30. We would love it if you could share a story about your junior team experience and fill us in on what you are doing now or just hang out with us!

Communications Committee

The communications director, Lynn Swift, for Strathcona Nordics is committed to carrying on with that role but she is looking for some help with the many and varied communications tasks, such as the newsletter, which is put out every week or two during the winter months and once a month during the off-season and social media promotion. Let her know via email if you are interested in helping with these task or would like to know more. The club is also committed to improving and revamping our website this off-season and this could be another area that could use some help. These tasks would all look great on a resume!
