Our youth weeded the gardens,did some planting, and painted birdhouse gourds, then enjoyed lunchtime with the GG folks. After lunch, we took time for some high-energy games. Of course, since it was a Youth Group event, we also started our morning with a devotion. We read from Matthew to remind us, "Whoever wants to save their life will lose it, but whoever loses their life for me will find it." We closed the afternoon with prayer and a discussion of remembering to shine the light of Jesus everywhere we go this summer. | Weeding! | | New Devotionals Aimed at Moms Designed for moms of all ages, this special edition Our Daily Bread will strengthen the sense of God doing something new and refreshing through the everyday details of motherhood. Everyone enjoyed week one and we hope week two goes just as well! On Monday we had our second mission group, this time from New Wilmington Presbyterian. This bunch jumped right in to hard labor with a demo project and some building projects. It is amazing what a hard working group of young people and their adult volunteers can accomplish! Our next mission group will be here on July 8. Sue Weaver, Tori, and Dustin were back in the kitchen on Tuesday, making a fish and broccoli feast. They are getting to be quite the cooks! Next Tuesday, Kitty will be taking her planting skills and the Goodness Grows message to Canfield Presbyterian Church. The campers will join CTP for three weeks from 9am to noon. They will learn different aspects of a theater production from acting, singing, dancing to set design and technical aspects of a show. After completing the camp, the students will perform James & The Giant Peach Jr. for a live audience.
