Service Day at Goodness Grows
Thanks for all your hard work!

Our youth weeded the gardens,did some planting, and painted birdhouse gourds, then enjoyed lunchtime with the GG folks. After lunch, we took time for some high-energy games. Of course, since it was a Youth Group event, we also started our morning with a devotion. We read from Matthew to remind us, "Whoever wants to save their life will lose it, but whoever loses their life for me will find it." We closed the afternoon with prayer and a discussion of remembering to shine the light of Jesus everywhere we go this summer.

NEWS & EVENTS

Summer at GG

Today is CSA pick up for the Weekly Share folks and the Bi-Weekly Share group. Everyone enjoyed week one and we hope week two goes just as well!

On Monday we had our second mission group, this time from New Wilmington Presbyterian. This bunch jumped right in to hard labor with a demo project and some building projects. It is amazing what a hard working group of young people and their adult volunteers can accomplish! Our next mission group will be here on July 8.

Sue Weaver, Tori, and Dustin were back in the kitchen on Tuesday, making a fish and broccoli feast. They are getting to be quite the cooks!

Next Tuesday, Kitty will be taking her planting skills and the Goodness Grows message to Canfield Presbyterian Church. We are grateful to all our friends at CPC for the support they give to GG!

For I was hungry and you gave me food;
I was thirsty and you gave me a drink;
I was a stranger and you took me in;
I was naked and you clothed me;
I was sick and you visited me.
I was in prison and you came to me.

.....When you did it to one of the least of these my brothers and sisters,
you were doing it to me.

Matthew 25: 35-36, 40
