Happy Weekend!

We've had so. much. rain. lately. Which has made for a long string of dark, dreary days. After dropping off Tessa at a friend's house yesterday, I was driving along the lake when the sun popped out from behind the clouds. It was dazzling. And it felt like A GIFT. I had to stop the car and click.

The weather broke just in time for our high school's first home football game of the season. Hatti invited a few girlfriends over before the game, to eat nachos and s'mores pie (I'll be sharing this AWESOME pie recipe soon!) and get in the "USA" themed spirit for the game.

I tested a number of recipes this week, so much fall and holiday goodness. I absolutely do not like letting go of summer. But fall and holiday cooking and baking always remind me that this is a wonderful time of year, too!

CRUMBS: What We Made Recently

Every time I've posted about banana bread on Instagram the past year or so, I've gotten multiple requests for the recipe. Well I finally honed in on getting the recipe just right, so I could share it on the blog. I'll be sharing it soon, stay tuned!
