TODAY!!!! NYBP Beerversary!!!

jason

January 19th marks the one year anniversary of New York Beer Project brewing its own Craft ales and lagers, and the first beers hailing from the upstate town of Lockport New York since prohibition. The NYBP 15 bbl brewhouse, along with the 3.5 bbl pilot system has been hard at work the entire year, producing 55 offerings in Year one alone, with such memorable hits as Red Velvet Cake Ale, Supernatural, a Passion fruit Kettle Sour, and Cherry, Mint and Honey Blondes in the popular “Meet The Blondes” series.
Founders Kelly and Kevin Krupski, along with Head Brewmaster Jason Crossett have been focused since day one on quality, and variety, and the entire experience of Craft.

For the One Year Beerversary Party today, there will be 3 special beer releases throughout the day beginning at 11am where NYBP will be tapping Anniversary Plum Sour, a kettle sour made with 88 lbs. of plums.

Following, at 5pm, there will be a special release of New York Beer Project's 13% THEE Barleywine, that has been aged for 9 months in Jim Beam barrels. It's served in 10 oz. goblets, and it'll still knock you on your keister!

At 7pm: there will be a Reserve tapping of the very last keg of Vintage 2016 RIS (Russian Imperial Stout) which was brewed last year in conjunction with the Grand Opening and one keg was reserved and cellared for this special day!

Then...Think you know more about Beer than anyone else on the planet? Prove it at our Beer Project Beer Trivia Challenge. We Double Dog Dare Homebrewers, Beer Tasting Clubs (Come on, women, represent at this one) or Craft beer experts to come and compete at 7pm for growler fills beer, merch, bar tabs and #frigginbraggingrights! Don't worry, everyone has a fighting chance, even if you don't know that much about the noble beverage!

Gary and Joe

Just a head's up, New York Beer Project will be closed on Monday, January 23 when we will be celebrating a successful Year One with our hard working NYBP staff at our Holiday party. A special thanks to Gary and Joe, our top two Mug Club members who will be our guest bartenders for the evening, and all tips they receive for the evening will be donated to Women and Children's Hospital. You guys are the best!

We truly hope you can stop by and celebrate with us! It's gonna be a hoot!

Cheers!
