Lions Weekly: December 6, 2023

A Note From Mr. Sandefur

Lion Family,

As we embark on the final week before our well-deserved Christmas break, it's awe-inspiring to witness the enthusiasm and commitment our students and staff bring to each day. Amid the fast-paced nature of the season, let's not lose sight of the profound significance of this time. It's a season to reflect on the greatest gift of all, the birth of Jesus Christ, and to let the light of His love guide our actions and interactions.

In this busy season, may we be steadfast in equipping ourselves to share the love and joy that Christmas embodies. Hebrews 13:21 reminds us that God equips us with everything good for doing His will, and as we strive to be Christ-like, let's extend that warmth and kindness to everyone around us. Whether it's a smile, a kind word, or a helping hand, our actions can be a reflection of the love that God has showered upon us. Let's embrace the opportunities to share the true meaning of Christmas with others, both within our TKA community and beyond.

As we approach the holiday break, let's cherish these moments with loved ones, expressing gratitude for the blessings we've received and the strength to carry our faith into the new year. May the spirit of Christmas fill your homes with peace, joy, and the love that transcends all understanding. Wishing each of you a blessed and joyful Christmas season.

In Christ,

Jeremy Sandefur
President/Head of School

Important: Parade Updates!

Saturday, December 9th at 3:00 pm

The Seymour Christmas Parade is quickly approaching. We have had a great response and we are so grateful! The parade is on Saturday, December 9th at 3 pm. Details about arrival and outstanding needs are below.

We have 13 vehicles in the parade this year. What a blessing! If you have a vehicle you need to arrive at Valley Grove Baptist Church between 12-1 pm.

If you are walking, you can arrive around 1:00/1:30 but NO later than 2:00 because they close the roads at 2:00.

We still have a few needs:

1. Candy, candy, candy! Pick up a bag or two this weekend at the grocery store and give it to Ms. Gioioso or Ms. Reed.
2. A duo, trio, or quartet would love to play instruments and/or sing on the float.
3. Walkers. Come walk and support TKA!
