Corrie Visits Her Birth Country

mural1e

A family of six accompanied by grandparents had the joy of showing their adopted daughter the rich culture, sights, sounds and smells of Ethiopia - her country of birth. Although the orphanage she was adopted from no longer is operational, NLE took her to our Mana Gammachuu orphanage where she and her family painted a bright mural on the courtyard wall and had a blast playing with the children. They also took a side trip to visit the rock churches in Lalibela.

Couple With 13 Children Adopts

In a rural village, Dhetemo and his wife Fate are raising their children in a traditional mud hut with no running water or electricity. A year ago, they came to know Jesus as their Savior and what a change in countenance and attitude! One day recently, a newborn baby was found near death in a field. Fate did not hesitate to scoop the little one up and bring her home to be raised with her other thirteen children.

A 'Then & Now' Miracle

then and now

In May we shared with you about a fragile little preemie girl who came into our care weighing only 2½ lbs. The nannies gave her round-the-clock care with lots of preemie formula and we are thrilled to report that she is steadily gaining weight. At the end of June she weighed almost 7 lbs! We now have another baby boy weighing less than 3 lbs. Thanks to your financial help we are able to purchase the super-formula these preemies need so desperately! In the last 2 months seven babies have been placed at Mana Gammachuu orphanage and all need sponsors. Will you help us provide more 'then & now' miracles for these little ones? See a few children who need sponsors here. *Sponsor a child here*.
