Director's Note

The 2019 race series marks the 10th year of high school mountain bike racing in Colorado. Yee-haw for a Decade of Dirt! We are energized to strengthen the foundation of our mission to provide an exceptional experience for youth and families to play outside and cultivate a strong community while discovering the joy of participating on a high school mountain bike team. We are extremely grateful to all the teams and coaches who continue to blaze new trails by dedicating their time and expertise to high school student-athletes.

A very, very special thank you goes to Max Bradley for his 9 years of service as a member of the Colorado League Board of Directors. He was the for first BOD President from 2010 - 2014. Scholarship Opportunities - Alpine Bank College and 2nd Chance First Aid Trainings

Alpine Bank believes all high school students should have the opportunity to pursue higher education.

This year Alpine Bank is offering 2 - $500 college scholarships to those high school students who will attend college in Colorado and will participate in a collegiate cycling program.

Scholarship applications are due by June 1, 2019. Apply HERE. Funds will be distributed upon proof of enrollment and participation in the college's cycling program.

Starting in 2019, Wilderness First Aid will be required for Level 2 Coaches.The 2nd Chance CPR & First Aid Scholarship was conceived by David Taylor. He is a father of three young women who participate in the Colorado League. David's company, Mountain Island Construction, has been a long-time sponsor of the Colorado League as well as Boulder High School and Nederland High School.

In June 2016, David suffered a heart attack while riding at Curt Gowdy State Park. At the time, he was volunteering as a ride leader for the Stone Temple Youth Mountain Bike Camp. David was saved by a fellow ride leader who administered CPR for 15 minutes until medical care arrived on the scene. He recovered from the heart attack thanks to his fellow rider’s CPR training.

Front Range CPR

Primary financial support from the Taylor Family and some assistance from the Bailey HUNDO, funds scholarships to both coaches and student-athletes who attend CPR and/or First Aid courses. Apply HERE so that we may support you and your commitment to ensuring a better and safer community.

There are many classes offered by Colorado League partner Front Range CPR. They can schedule classes for your teams.

Vote for Colorado League - Elevation Outdoors Annual Best of the Rockies - Deadline January 31st

The Colorado League State Championship race in Eagle was voted the best mountain bike event in the region for 2017. The State Championships in Durango is nominated for 2018. Cast your ballot HERE. Click on Events.

The Best of the Rockies Awards is the largest and most prestigious outdoor awards in the West conducted by Elevation Outdoors Magazine.

Annual Coach Summit – Eagle, CO May 3-5, 2019

Mark your calendar! The Annual Coach Summit will kick-off Friday afternoon, May 3rd in Eagle, Colorado. Classes will cover the nuts and bolts of working with high school student-athletes in the context of a high school mountain bike club and provide the basic knowledge and guidance for coaches.

CPR, WFA Recertifications, On-the-Bike Trainings (formerly MTB 101) will be available. We are planning NEW sessions for 2019!

Complete details regarding weekend schedule and registration will be announced in early March.

A limited number of scholarships will be available thanks to Yeti Cycles and Team Evergreen. Apply by April 15th HERE.

2019 HUNDO Standard

The Bailey HUNDO/HUNDito June 15th – Registration Open!

Join us Father's Day weekend for the 10th Annual Bailey HUNDO. This is an epic race with an epic cause. In 2018, the HUNDO distributed over $70,000 to nonprofit partners and community organizations in the Bailey area including the Colorado League, Trips for Kids Denver Metro, and the Colorado Mountain Biking Association. Various trail building projects near the Bailey area received $15,000. Huge props to all the FUND-racers who participate. Together you have contribute to the donated over $470,000.00 donated since 2010.

NOTE the $55 application fee for racers 18 and under will be waived. Juniors get your registration code by emailing director@bailey100.org. Racers are required to raise at least $200.

Summer Camps
