RIPTA CELEBRATES COLUMBUS DAY

RIPTA will operate all regular fixed-route buses and trolleys on a Sunday/Holiday schedule on Monday, October 12, 2015 in observance of Columbus Day. RIPTA offices, including the Photo Identification and Ticket Sellers Offices in Kennedy Plaza, will not be staffed on the holiday.

TRANSIT FARE STUDY UPDATE - LIMITED TIME TO GIVE YOUR FEEDBACK!

Thank you to those who attended our recent community meetings and provided feedback on our proposed fare options! Four fare options are now available for public review online. Although four options are being presented for public review, RIPTA is open to suggestions from the public and will continue to process the data and all feedback. As a result, the recommendation that will come from this study will most likely be a combination of elements from the four options. RIPTA will receive comments on these
options through October 5, 2015.

COLUMBUS DAY FESTIVAL ON FEDERAL HILL – SATURDAY, OCTOBER 10 – MONDAY, OCTOBER 12

RIPTA will detour Route 92 (RI College/Federal Hill/East Side) to accommodate the Columbus Day Festival. The detour will be in effect from the first trip of the day on Saturday until the last trip of the night on Monday.

RIPTA will detour Route 55 (Admiral/Prov College) to accommodate the 19th Annual St. Pius V 5K Road Race. The detour will be in effect from 10:00am to 11:00am.
