We are here to pray with and for you, anytime! Prayer needs sent by early Monday morning will be included in the weekly Joys & Concerns email. We are also glad to send out prayer requests and praise reports anytime throughout the week! | Encouragement Thank you to Marcia Kreps for sharing and Darla Smith for writing these weekly bits of encouragement. "I pray your week has been a great one so far. We have been blessed with some fantastic weather here in Ohio. I planted some seeds a couple weeks ago and they are sprouting their little leaves! The glory all around us that God lets us enjoy makes my heart happy." "My Word for the week is “SHARE.” It made me think of the times I was a child and there were others that maybe would not “share” their toys or maybe their lunch at school. Funny how one word can transport us to a different time in our memories. I thought of all the ways I could “share” God’s love. Oh, the endless ways! We can “share” a smile and really change someone’s day. We can “share” a thought or scripture to lift someone up. We can “share” a hug, which they say has multiple health benefits including alleviating depression, which seems to be raising its ugly head as of late with many. We can “share” our presence with someone that may be lonely and needs a boost. We can “share” our prayers for others. We pray and God handles the shipping and handling. We can “share” Jesus, which is THE ANSWER to all! “Share” our Jesus lights with everyone we can. Go ahead – let’s plant the seed and see what happens. I pray we all use our “share” button this week as well as the weeks to come." “Here’s another way to put it: You’re here to be light, bringing out the God-colors in the world. God is not a secret to be kept. We’re going public with this, as public as a city on a hill. If I make you light-bearers, you don’t think I’m going to hide you under a bucket, do you? I’m putting you on a light stand. Now that I’ve put you there on a hilltop, on a light stand—shine! Keep open house; be generous with your lives. By opening up to others, you’ll prompt people to open up with God, this generous Father in heaven. ~ Matthew 5:14-16 (The Message) | Our volunteers are all smiles! | Volunteers Rock! (Thanks, Sally!) It was an excellent Friday all the way around. Monday was an unusual day, as Kitty substituted for Rachel. She jumped right into the routine and our crew weeded, cleaned, and had fun together. (Thanks, Kitty!) Kitty was back on Tuesday to lead our state compliance review, which we passed with flying colors and no issues to fix. Way to go, crew! She rewarded everyone with a pizza lunch to celebrate. On Wednesday, we got to work on the butterfly garden. GG and the Youth Group, along with Mike Ashby, transformed the garden last summer into the shape of a cross and added paving stones to it. Now we are tilling, weeding, and getting ready to replant to bring back some colorful flowers for our pollinator friends. Keep an eye out there and watch for goodness to grow!
