As many of you know, FreelanceWriting.com is now under new ownership. A couple months ago I sold the site so I could free up much-needed time to caregive for my elderly parents. I had launched the site in 1996—when my own writing career was budding—to serve as an online community to help writers worldwide succeed in a freelance career. The new owners are in the process of retooling and upgrading FreelanceWriting.com to make the site a better experience for writers.
Although my time remains limited, I am happy to report that I continue to post new “Calls for Submissions” at my blog, www.WritingCareer.com. You can find editors and publishers who need fiction, poetry, nonfiction, etc. for an upcoming issue or a special project. I only list markets that pay writers for their work and do not charge submission fees.
