We are also glad to send out prayer requests and praise reports anytime throughout the week! | Encouragement Thank you to Marcia Kreps for sharing and Darla Smith for writing these weekly bits of encouragement. "This is the day the Lord made, and I will rejoice! I pray you all have been having a great week. The weather here in Ohio has been spectacular! We can see small spouts of flowers starting to push through the dirt. New life – Spring has sprung." "My Word for this week is “FIRE.” Did our “fire” go out? There are a lot of things that happen in our lives that snuff our “fire” out. Everyday life busyness, grief, discouragement, unforgiveness can all be a cause. I thought of times when I started to diet or exercise...boy, I was on “fire” but got busy or was too tired and quickly my “fire” extinguished – poof! Our “fire” can be a new job, a new book, cleaning out our cupboards – ugh…, our witness about Jesus, trying new recipes, reading our bibles and a little distraction can smother the flame. I am asking God to stir the “fire” in us all. Empower us with gifts from above. Spark our “fire” with the joy that comes from God’s presence. Fan the “fire” back into our flame. I encourage you this week to try to get your “fire” back. Shine for Jesus!" Don’t burn out; keep yourselves fueled and aflame. Be alert servants of the Master, cheerfully expectant. Don’t quit in hard times; pray all the harder. Help needy Christians; be inventive in hospitality.. ~ Romans 12:11-13 (MSG) | Easter Week Devotional for Parents & Kids Stop by the round table for this resource to guide your kids through Holy Week. This little booklet has eight days of readings, questions, prayers, and family activities. | March Worship ~ Online & In-Person Pastor Mike Hileman ~ Sundays at 11:00am Join us at church or online via Facebook Live: Connecting Life We will continue to be guided by the health and safety guidelines set forth by the governor and the health department, so we require masks to be worn in our building at all times. We're excited to welcome you to Worship, in church and online! ~~~ | Maundy Thursday ~ Communion & Tenebrae Thursday, April 1 from 7-8pm What is a Tenebrae Service? The word "Tenebrae" comes from the Latin meaning "darkness." The Tenebrae is an ancient Christian service that makes use of gradually diminishing light through the extinguishing of candles to symbolize the events of that week, from the triumphant Palm Sunday entry through Jesus' burial. This increasing darkness symbolizes the approaching darkness of Jesus' death and of hopelessness in the world without God. The service concludes in darkness, symbolizing the death of Jesus. The worshipers then leave in silence to ponder the impact of Christ's death and await the coming Resurrection. Due to the format of this solemn service, we will not be recording & streaming Maundy Thursday. ~~~ | Resurrection Sunday Service Sunday, April 4 at 11am Join us for our Easter Celebration Service! | www.goodnessgrows4all.org Our Mission Statement: To cultivate personal, social, and community growth through gardening, education, and opportunity for people of all abilities. ~~~ | Frog Friend | Crayfish Friend | | | Happy Birthday, Keegan! | News of the Week We ended last week with a celebration of Keegan's birthday, enjoying cake made by his Grandma Best.
