April is the perfect time of year to visit Aiken. The azaleas are in bloom, the weather is great and Masters Week brings an influx of visitors to our beautiful city. Check out our Citywide Arboretum Trail (see article below) or take a hike in Hitchcock Woods, one of the largest urban forests in the nation. Take it all in on our Historic Trolley Tour. Additional tours will be offered during Masters Week and the Aiken Visitors Center and Train Museum will be open Monday-Saturday 9 am-5 pm. However you choose to spend your time, beauty can be found all around you from our parks to parkways.

Downtown Aiken will be the place to be on Tuesday, April 5th during Masters Week! There will be visual artists displaying paintings, sculptures and jewelry as wells as numerous performing artists. Artwork will be on display for viewing and purchasing inside and outside many downtown restaurants and businesses.

This event, April 18th-May 1st, draws participants from all over the world. Aiken has proudly hosted this 2-week long event since 1998 and welcomes the variety of talented individuals that come to Aiken to compete year after year.

Aiken Bluegrass Festival

Tickets are on sale now for this annual festival on May 13-14th. This year's line-up includes Keller Williams, The Larry Keel Experience, Doug and the Henrys, and many more regional and national acclaimed artists. Enjoy food vendors and plenty of activities for the little bluegrass fans.
