Dr. Darin Cherniwchan (pr: CHUR - NUH -- CHAN) is an avid philatelist. His main philatelic interest is limited to the 1, 2 and 3-CENT Canadian Small Queens Issue of the late 19th Century.
* He is a member of the BC Philatelic Society, the Fraser Valley Philatelic Stamp Club and the West Toronto Stamp Club.
* He is the Chair of the Digital Philately Study Group of the British North America Philatelic Society (BNAPS).
* He is also the Chair of the Large and Small Queens Study Group of BNAPS.
* He serves on the Membership Committee of the Royal Philatelic Society of Canada.
* He also serves as the Canadian Director of the Northwest Federation of Stamp Clubs and is the Editor of the Federation's Journal, "The Federated Philatelist."
His Society memberships include the Philatelic Specialists Society of Canada, the British North America Philatelic Society, the Canadian Philatelic Society of Great Britain,
the Postal History Society of Canada, the American Philatelic Society, the Great Britain Philatelic Society, Rotary on Stamps, the American Topical Association and the Ukrainian Philatelic and Numismatic Society.
He is an avid outdoorsman, husband, father and grandfather and in his spare time, runs a medical practice and looks after his acreage!
