This is no ordinary Yoga retreat.
We'll practice in the tearoom Yachats Inn, a long-loved coastal getaway with views of the water from many of its rooms which range from luxurious to retro-funky. You can stay at the Inn, and most of us do, but you'll work out the lodging piece as you see fit. We eat in the restaurants and coffee shops in town, or shop at the farmer's market and cook for ourselves, creating a flexibility and sense of community that is lacking in many retreat experiences.
Many students who regularly attend bring their spouse and sometimes their children along to enjoy the beach during the day, leaving the evenings to reconnect and share. Other retreaters share a room with fellow yogis, for a weekend on the cheap, or splurge on a sweet for themselves for deep reflection as summer turns to fall.
To celebrate year ten, I am walking back the cost for the retreat to its 2010 price point of $160. You can venmo or paypal me to alisonalstrom@gmail.com, bring a check with you to class, or email me for a mailing address to reserve your spot. The cost for the yoga part of the retreat includes four extended asana practices -- early afternoon on Saturday, morning and an evening Sunday, and Monday morning, and meditation instruction both Sunday and Monday mornings.
Call the Yachats Inn today to reserve a room. Act fast, because the Inn does fill up. Lodging can run anywhere from $45 a night for sharing a room to $135 for a suite of your own. There is a modern wing and an "original" wing, which is practically on the beach, accepts pets and has a decidedly "vintage" feel. Note -- I love the original rooms, but they may not be for everyone.
It all begins Saturday, Aug, 31st at 3pm!
