Speaking with the families.

DAKTARI at the Village

Over the past few weeks we worked hard on a questionnaire which will enable us to measure the actual impact we have made and are making in the communities around us.
We are going door-to-door to every house at the village of The Oaks in order to survey the families and speak with them about the work DAKTARI has done so far, and all the work that we want to take part in, in the future!!

creche1

As of mid-July we started working on increasing our presence in the village by spreading out our Eco-Club Initiative into the creches of The Oaks! We want to make as big of a difference as we can by educating the children from as early as possible! We are now working towards starting these Eco-Clubs at the end of October!
Also, who doesn't love working with small children?!

PAINTING THE VILLAGE

Painting the Market Square with Eco-Training!

In July DAKTARI partnered up with Eco-Training, a local Nature Guide Training Centre, to paint the market square of The Oaks to give a 'face-lift' to the village. We can agree that the difference is amazing!

Thank you to the people from Eco-Training for their amazing effort and help!

Rhodean visit

Rhodean School Visit!

A big thank you to the Rhodean School from Johannesburg for their amazing visit in early August! They brought along a group of 48 people to experience a day in the life of DAKTARI!

We hope to see you again soon!!
