Having good health is not only about what you eat, it is also about ensuring the product you use daily are free of chemicals that can harm your health. Your hormones are the keys that keep the mechanics of your body working properly and efficiently. When they are disrupted/ unbalanced or high-jacked/ mimicked, it can cause serious health problems. Below are a few items to look out for that may be lurking in your kitchen.

1. Dish soap, look out for parabens, sulphates and other toxins. Choose a non toxic brand.
2. Plastic cutting boards, over time tiny shreds break off in your food. Use a natural hardwood board but clean often.
3. Plastic wrap, cooking or storing food in plastics allow toxins to leach into your food. Use glass storage instead.
4. Aluminum foill, released toxins while the food is being cooked. Parchment paper is an excellent option.
5. Non-stick cookware, releases toxins while cooking. I know it is convenient but that convenience is costly to your health. Uses stainless steel or cast iron instead. Your hormones play a vital role in how sugar is metabolized. It is therefore important to get them check annually.
