Conservative Party MPs obviously supported the party's motion, but only a handful of individuals from different parties chose to stand for religious freedom in Canada. They are:
Xavier Barsalou-Duval (Bloc) - Xavier.Barsalou-Duval@parl.gc.ca
Mario Beaulieu (Bloc) - Mario.Beaulieu@parl.gc.ca
David Christopherson (NDP) - David.Christopherson@parl.gc.ca
Marilene Gill (Bloc) - Marilene.Gill@parl.gc.ca
Elizabeth May (Green Party) - Elizabeth.May@parl.gc.ca
Scott Simms (Liberal) - Scott.Simms@parl.gc.ca
Please consider sending these MPs an e-mail of appreciation and encouragement.
Now What? Next Steps:
This matter is far from closed. It is more important than ever for us to continue to stand for Canadian freedoms, especially as they are increasingly at risk of diminishing. Here is what you can do:
1) E-mail Your MP to briefly voice your disappointment at the results of yesterday's vote and to either thank or respectfully express regret at their vote.
Click here to find your MP by postal code.
A few tips: Be respectful. Be professional. Remember that although our e-mails do not often completely persuade our MPs to change their minds on an issue, they do have significant impact. When we all take this action, our effect is multiplied.
2) Sign the Petitions found here and here and please share them amongst friends and family.
3) Continue to talk about this issue with your networks and on social media. In addition to this e-blast, click here and here for two articles you may wish to share.
4) Get in the Game. We need more men and women who will stand for freedom and righteous values to run for office in 2019 and also volunteers to help support these righteous candidates. Please contact us at admin@4mycanada.ca if you want to learn more about either of these opportunities.
