The first week back in the Garden was excellent! We focused on the Fruits of the Spirit and how to apply them at school. Jen Shannon will lead the Garden this Sunday. The following Sunday we will celebrate the Sacrament of Communion, and Garden kids will remain in Worship. Activity pages on the table by Sanctuary doors for children who stay in Worship. Children 3 & younger are invited to the Nursery for Bible story time.

Fall Harvest & CG Birthday Celebration

Save the Date ~ Saturday, October 19

Are you ready to gather and celebrate the fall harvest, like we do each October? This year we are adding a little twist! On this exact date in 2008 (11 years ago!), CGCC held our first service in our building! Since it is our 11th "birthday" we felt it would be a great time to celebrate. So, we will continue our tradition of costumes and candy and add in some birthday fun! Keep an eye out for further details and times to be announced soon.

NEWS & EVENTS

September at GG

This Monday took us out of the building for some shopping in North Lima. We visited Gardening Indoor and got to meet the wonderful dog, Winston. The staff was incredibly helpful and we highly recommend heading there for your gardening needs.

Chef Tori & Chef Dustin

Since it is now mid-September, we are starting to prep gardens and beds for winter. Pulling plants, weeding, and cleaning up outdoors are all very important parts of running a farm. We are lucky to have our friends from Leetonia, Mohawk, and Transition here during this busy season!

Tuesday's lunch was chicken parmigiana, homemade herb bread, and a salad of spaghetti, charred corn, zucchini, and feta. Dining at GG is like dining at a five star restaurant...just ask Janine! Thanks for enjoying lunch with us this week, Janine!!

Today is CSA day. Only three more weeks after this. Our crew made fresh salsa for this week's shares. It sure makes it smell delicious here!

Lunch with friends is the best!

On Saturday, we will be in Canfield at the Market on the Green, from 10am-4pm, with jam, tie-dyed bags, and birdhouse gourds. Come check out this amazing market full of so many makers, vendors, and artisans. Fun for the whole family. We would love to see you!

We will start next week with a Whispering Pines morning and a trip to the grocery store. Looking forward to another busy week!

For I was hungry and you gave me food;
I was thirsty and you gave me a drink;
I was a stranger and you took me in;
I was naked and you clothed me;
I was sick and you visited me.
I was in prison and you came to me.

.....When you did it to one of the least of these my brothers and sisters,
you were doing it to me.
