In collaboration with Holy Language Institute, Pablo Modernell Bentancor - a member of the tribe in Uruguay - just created a series of short videos entitled "El Mesias en cada letra del alfabeto Hebreo" - "Messiah in the letters of the Hebrew alphabet" and you can watch them ALL for FREE!
Watch them RIGHT HERE. You can also contact Pablo through the comment box at the bottom of the page.
Feel free to share this with your Spanish speaking friends and enemies!
And here's Pablo's story!
Hi, Holy Language Tribe. I´m Pablo Modernell Bentancor.
I´m an English teacher from Uruguay, South America. Let´s cut a long story short, very short. I was raised in a Catholic family, and thanks to the advice of a priest and the first evangelical girl I met in Junior High School, I started reading the Bible. At the age of 20 I said a specific prayer to let Jesus into my heart.
I joined an Assemblies of God congregation and graduated from Bible School in 1998. A year later I started interpreting missionaries, from English into Spanish, which I still do. Since 1991 I have been sharing my faith in our Messiah in nursing homes, hospitals, discipleship groups and general or youth meetings in the different congregations I have been part of.
In 2010 I joined an Argentine Messianic congregation which set up that year in Montevideo, the capital city of my country. Through them, I continued Bible Studies at the MJBI, Messianic Jewish Bible Institute, in Dallas Texas. In 2012 I returned to my present congregation, an independent Pentecostal church whose Pastor is also Argentinian and who, like the Rabbi of the Messianic congregation I attended, was also a disciple of a Jewish man who turned to the faith in Yeshua when he was a child and later on became a Pastor.
In 2011 I published a book which contains 24 reflections based on Bible characters, and in 2012 I published a second book with 21 reflections about Jesus from a Messianic perspective.
The impact of the Messianic teachings I have been acquainted with (not only through the Messianic congregation, but also through other varied sources and now Holy Language) has been such, that about a year ago I felt compelled to start sharing some of those teachings...I have shared studies of this sort in nine occasions so far, either in congregations in my city or the provinces, in a Pastors’ meeting once, or in a Christian place in the downtown area of my city, called bookafé, suited for these sorts of gatherings.
Izzy, through Holy Language, has blessing me tremendously with the Hebrew Quest and the Hebrew Chapters. I couldn’t be happier! I’m privileged to have joined the Tribe, haha!

A fun side note about the photos: I have attached these 4 pictures, me in the Jordan River or the Sea of Galilee on my trip to Israel last year. My dwelling place, by the River Plate or Río de la Plata, wide as the sea and sweet as a river. It is actually an estuary opening to the Atlantic Ocean. The final one is a picture of "MATE", the typical Uruguayan tea or infusion. Everybody drinks MATE here. It comes from the leaves of a tree and despite being bitter, you often drink it without sugar. In Argentina is more common to have it with sugar, though. You fill the "cup" (the MATE) with YERBA (the sort of TEA), and drink a whole liter of hot water pouring it little by little from the thermo-flask (TERMO). It´s funny, because in Spanish we have a saying that goes: "El mate es compañero" which translated would be: "The MATE is a mate", because it does accompany you all the time, while reading, studying, working, watching tv, walking, doing the house chores...
Shalom, beloved brothers and sisters in Yeshuah Ha Mashiah!
If you're inspired by what Pablo's doing and are interested in teaching Hebrew Quest content in churches in your area, or creating videos with Hebrew Quest content in another language, please contact me here and let's brainstorm together! I'd love to help you with that.
