RECYCLING

INFORMATION

***

Where can you recycle plastic pots & trays at other times of the year?

***
Thumbs up heart

Take them to the garden center at any LOWE'S store.
They will responsibly recycle them for you!

(Just ask where is the recycling cart/area.)

***

NOTE:

Though your plastic pots may have a recycling triangle and number on them [meaning that the plastic resin they are made of is a KIND of plastic that is usable by certain parts of the recycling industry],

Plastic pots DO NOT go in your curbside recycling!

[The companies that buy the plastics collected in our curbside program for their use in producing new products are the ones who determine which recyclables may be accepted !]

Have questions about what you can or cannot put in your recycling bin/cart?

In terms of PLASTICS, they must be "food, beverage, personal care or household plastic containers".

Exceptions are: black microwaveable trays, Styrofoam, and plastic bags.

See Curbside Management's webpage: How to prepare recyclables for some helpful recycling hints.

See their "Can't Do" webpage for quick visual reference of some common items NOT recyclable ... and don't hesitate to call "Curbie" (828-252-2532) with your recycling questions!
