Meet Niffy!

Niffy is our beloved NIFF 2023 character, designed by NIFF board member Cherylanne James. Cherylanne is an Anishnaabekwe Visual Artist/Illustrator and professor from Chippewas of Rama First Nation. What are you doing on Tuesday, April 15 from 12:00PM - 1:00PM EST? Join us for a virtual Publicity Workshop with Damien Nelson to learn more about Fringe Publicity.

Damien Nelson is a press agent with 15 years of experience in marketing and communications in the arts sector. As a press agent, she works with Native Earth Performing Arts, Toronto Fringe Festival, Indigenous Fashion Arts Festival, imagineNATIVE Film + Media Arts Festival, CBC Podcasts, Toronto International Storytelling Festival, and more. She is also a producer for the Toronto Sketch Comedy Festival.

In 2018, Damien launched Want & Able, offering a robust roster of PR and consulting services for her creative clients. A proactive arts promoter known for being cooler than a cucumber, Damien’s razor-sharp instincts and accessible communication style make promoting your event a transparent and straightforward process.
