We are also glad to send out prayer requests and praise reports anytime throughout the week. | Encouragement I pray your week has been blessed. Our weather here has been great and not so great. Had some storms pass through on the weekend that included some tornado warnings. All good outcomes here. Prayers have been said for Maui and the terrible fires. Prayers for all the families involved. Life can change in an instant. Keep your trust in the One who never changes. My WORD for this week is “CONFIDENCE.” In every change we can have “confidence” that Jesus will be with us every step of the way. In the good times and the bad times. An old song by Andre Crouch is “I’ve got Confidence, God is going to see me through. No matter what the case may be, I know He’s gonna fix it for me.” Listen to it sometime - it is a great song. No matter what - we need to have “confidence” that He will fix it for us. He will mend a broken heart. He will heal our body. He will guide our steps. He will turn things around in our favor. He will bless our jobs, marriage, family, if we will just learn to put all our “confidence” in Him. No matter what comes our way. Let’s try to change our thinking from, "Oh no!" - to, "Thank you, Jesus, for handling this for me." Holy Spirit, teach us to have “confidence” like never before. Let our faith grow in you. Let us fully rely on you for whatever comes our way. We will definitely have bumps in the road but let us totally have “confidence” in Jesus to smooth out the bumps and keep our path straight. We need Jesus - every hour we need Him. We long to have a closer relationship with Him. Let’s jump in with both feet and have “confidence” in our All in All! Have a blessed week. But blessed are those who trust in the Lord and have made the Lord their hope and confidence. ~ Jeremiah 17:7 (NLT) ~~~ | Blessing Box Located by the Sanctuary doors, the Blessing Box is always available. If you have a need, please write it on one of the cards next to the box and pop it inside. Matthew 25: 35-36, 40 ~ What can YOU do? | LOCAL COMMUNITY NEWS/EVENTS | If you know of any interesting news or events, please let us know, so that we can pass it on to others! ~~~ | Sunflowers at the Farm The sunflowers are beginning to bloom at the MetroParks Farm (7574 Columbiana-Canfield Rd., Canfield). They are expected to be in full bloom the weeks of August 21 and 28. They're most spectacular in afternoons and early evenings on sunny days. Feel free to come out for photo ops or to take in their beauty but please remember - no cutting is permitted so all can enjoy! They are right by the start of the bike trail in the open field, so walk across to the fence and you will see them. It's very beautiful and make gorgeous backdrops for your photos. Tip: go earlier in the day or early afternoon, the heads of the flowers face the west so when the sun sets, it's hard to get a good picture without glare. Take a walk along the scenic trail, play disc golf, go fishing in the pond (catch and release). If you go before 4pm, visit the barns to see the farm animals.
