Dear friend,

The Interfaith Center for Sustainable Development (ICSD) organized an interreligious press conference involving a priest, rabbi, imam, and a religious Hindu last month at the UN Climate Change Conference held in Marrakesh, Morocco. ICSD director Rabbi Yonatan Neril also spoke at the Fez Climate Conscience Summit, and attended a roundtable at the Pontifical Academy of Sciences in the Vatican.

Blogging for Faith & Ecology

At ICSD , we're always keeping an eye on what's happening in the world, and offering insights from a faith and ecology perspective through our blog posts. We're sharing the latest two with you here, though you can find our entire blog library on our website here, and you can subscribe to our blog here for monthly updates.

We're encouraged by businesses that incorporate environmental sensitivity into their overall strategy for success. In September, we posted "Doing Well and Doing Good: Learning from KIND Snacks Founder Daniel Lubetzky".

ICSD, along with Union Theological Seminary, the Center for Earth Ethics, Jewish Theological Seminary, and the Green Seminary Initiative, is hosting a Faith and Ecology Seminary Education Conference on December 14th in New York City. This is part of an ongoing commitment to our mission of educating and empowering emerging religious leaders on environmental stewardship, based on support from the Julia Burke Foundation. Our next conference will be in March in Washington DC, with five more to follow, made possible by a recent three-year grant from the Henry Luce Foundation. As you make your end-of-the-year giving decisions, I want to ask you to support our work. The Interfaith Center for Sustainable Development works to catalyze a transition to a sustainable human society through the education and empowerment of faith leaders and communities. As we know from religious leaders like Pope Francis and the Dalai Lama, our ecological challenges not only threaten our very survival, but also point to a spiritual imbalance that needs to be corrected. The wisdom of faith traditions must become central in forging a path to a sustainable future.

Please support our work by making a US tax-deductible donation by clicking here. Thank you for considering this request. Together we can manifest a sustainable future.

Sincerely,
Rabbi Yonatan Neril
