Coats for Kids

Did you feel that cold snap last week? Lots of families right here in Austin did not have jackets to keep them warm. Every year, Mills participates in the Junior League Coats for Kids Drive and we are now at the half-way mark of this year’s collection. Many of you have already donated and we could still use more! We have already collected 53 gently used or new jackets and would love to see that number double. Please clean out those closets and drop them off in the orange bin in the front entrance marked with a sign that reads “Coats for Kids” and we will take it from there. Mills Mountain Lions have loving and generous hearts!

Save the Date for Barnes and Noble

We are having our annual Fundraising for Literacy December 14 at our Barnes and Noble in Sunset Valley. This year we are hoping to spend the majority of funds on replacing some of our old books from the literacy library with some book sets and decodable readers, as well as some new books for our library. Please consider signing up to come read a story. It doesn't take long and it brings the families in as well. We are working on a few new things to add, but would appreciate anyone that can come spin a tale for us!

Sign up here.

Thanks in advance!
