TFA Publishes Its Top Priorities for The Next UK Government
As the country heads to the polls on 12 December, the TFA has published its manifesto of issues that it wants the next Government to take forward. We would ask all TFA members to use the TFA manifesto to quiz local candidates about their priorities. To read the manifesto in full, click here.

The UK Government has Announced Further Support for Flood-hit Farmers
The Government has announced it will be expanding the Farm Recovery Fund from Swaledale and Wainfleet to areas in South Yorkshire & East Midlands hit by last weekend’s severe flooding. Farmers affected by flooding within those areas will be able to apply for up to £25,000 in Government grants to cover repair costs such as clearing debris and recovering damaged land. TFA Regional Discussion Group - North Yorkshire - Registration Closes 5 pm Friday 15 November
The TFA is hosting a Discussion Group, starting at 7:30 pm on 20 November 2019 at Malton and Norton RUFC, Malton, YO17 7EY.
We are pleased to announce that Caroline Horn, from George F White, will be our main speaker. She will talk about Succession, Diversification and Rent Reviews. This will be followed by TFA National Vice-Chairman, Mark Coulman, who will provide an update on future agri-environment schemes and the Government’s public payments for public goods agenda.

Have Your Say on General Licences - Survey Deadline Extended
For those who haven't responded to the current DEFRA survey on the use of general licences to manage wild birds, you now have till 5 pm on Monday 18 November to forward your feedback to TFA Adviser, Adriana Vaux. DEFRA is asking organisations, such as the TFA, to collate responses from members to assist the progress of the review. An electronic version of the survey can be accessed by clicking here. Farming Connect and TFA Cymru Provide Further Events for Tenant Farmers in Wales
TFA Cymru, once again, is joining with Farming Connect to provide tenant farmers in Wales with two full days of advice, information and support.
On Tuesday 03 December our Chief Executive, George Dunn, will be holding one-to-one advice surgeries between 9:00am and 5:00pm at the YFC office, Agriculture House, Winch Lane, Haverfordwest. This will be followed by an evening seminar, open to all, at the Pavilion Withybush, Pembrokeshire County Showground, Haverfordwest starting at 7:30pm.
This will be repeated the following day on Wednesday 04 December at The Beaufort, High St, Raglan, Usk.
