(details below on Bulletin Board) | Rest in Peace Janet Bucca! Janet Bucca took Usui Reiki training with me up to the Master Teacher Level and also took Angelic Liquid Light Healing Level 1 with me. She found me through her friend Susan Cutter, who had taken some Usui Reiki training with me back in 2008 and is now a very accomplished full time professional healer / hypnotherapist. Susan was a regular attendee at my weekly Monday night Reiki Circle at Madison Wellness center and had invited Janet and her husband Colin to attend the circle. That's how I got to know Janet, who has been a good friend and colleague for about 10 years. Janet was an LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse) who worked in a methadone clinic near Yankee Stadium in The Bronx for 18yrs up until she was diagnosed with late stage cancer last Winter. She was also trained in foot reflexology, herbology and Therapeutic Touch and loved to volunteer in our monthly Free Clinic for Recovery and in my Free Reiki and Ear Acupuncture clinics at the Lower East Side Harm Reduction Center. I was fortunate to be able to attend the memorial dinner for her last Tuesday in Ozone Park, Queens which was organized by her children and relatives. There were about a dozen police officers at one of the tables and I was surprised to learn that Janet had been an auxiliary police woman for many years too! Janet was a big hearted Leo who just loved to help people and would go out of her way to do so every day. Susan gave me permission to share her email announcement of Janet's death - "Our dear friend Janet Bucca has been courageously battling cancer for over a year. Despite the challenges of illness and medical procedures, Janet faithfully kept up with her friends and continued as an active practitioner and volunteer in Therapeutic Touch, Reiki and meditation groups through mid-July. The week of July 17th, Janet landed back in the hospital and from there entered hospice care at home. Her hospital bed was set up in the family’s living room so Janet was surrounded by her family during these final days of her life. I’m certain it brought her comfort." | "During her hospice period, Janet was non-responsive but I sat with her, talked or read to her and cleared her aura with Therapeutic Touch". "Yesterday morning, August 3rd, Janet died. Her daughter, Michelle, was with her. Janet now joins her husband Colin, her parents and her beloved Aunt Toni on another level." "Janet was a nurse, an advanced level Therapeutic Touch practitioner and a Usui Reiki Master. Janet had a lot to say, but not while she was doing healing. The fortunate among you will remember her exquisitely warm healing hands and gentle way with healing. She rarely missed a TT or healing group and loved attending Peter Goldbeck’s classes and Geordie Numata’s Reiki Circles and Community Clinics." I didn't know much about Jane until she reached out to me in the Spring of 2020 to inquire about training with me. She had been joining my VortexHealing® group distant healing sessions occasionally for a couple years, so in my mind, she was just another name on the distant healing list. It was a pleasant surprise when she expressed interest in getting certified as an Usui Reiki and Karuna Reiki teacher, but when she told me that she wanted to learn and teach Angelic Liquid Light Healing® the realization dawned that she could become my first apprentice teacher of that modality. This was very exciting to me because Angelic Liquid Light Healing® was the only modality that I used in all my sessions and everybody loved it. To know that my legacy could live on through Jane; that she might teach the modality to many students and even initiate teachers.......what a blessing that would be! Jane had been working as an office manager in a Dr's office for 10yrs, and had spent much of her free time taking classes in various energy healing modalities, including Usui and Karuna Reiki, Pranic Healing, VortexHealing® and many others. This had become her passion, and when the pandemic lockdown hit she decided to quit her job and transition into full time professional practice as an energy healing practitioner and teacher. Having Jane show up as a student in the early phases of the pandemic was a big blessing. I wasn't getting much work and had been doing a lot of free / option to donate sessions to help people stay centered and healthy amidst all the fear mongering and draconian mandates. After a candidate is chosen, they assist in teaching all 4 levels of training (Reiki Levels 1, 2, 3, and Master Teacher). They also have weekly coaching sessions which may be over the phone or in person, and homework assignments. Another aspect of the program is providing Reiki in a volunteer capacity at the free clinics I supervise. The program is tailored to the needs of the individual candidate. If there are issues blocking the candidate's general fulfillment in life and success as a Reiki healer and teacher, these will be addressed through counseling and healing sessions. I am accepting applications for an apprentice who would start working with me as soon as they are ready. Karuna Reiki® is taught by private appt. online or at your residence only. Accelerated Reiki 1 & 2 for professional healers, yoga practitioners & meditators - If you are an L.Ac., LMT, Craniosacral Therapist or other holistic health professional, a yoga teacher or seasoned yoga practitioner, meditator and / or chi gong practitioner, you may qualify for my accelerated Reiki 1 & 2 training. Do you know the 7 chakras and basic anatomy of the human body? Do you know what chi is? If your answer is yes to most of the above then you're probably ready to take Reiki 1 & 2 in 7.5 hrs.
