Hey y’all! It’s me, Brenda from Meal Planning Magic. You’re receiving this email newsletter because you signed up--maybe a while ago--to receive an extra weekly email where I share a little bit about meal planning, seasonal content I think you might enjoy and a little bit more about me.

What have you all been up to this week? I'm still continuing my decluttering journey withBecoming Minimalist--this week it's been all the office and school supplies. I'm pretty sure our pencils, pens and markers duplicate themselves overnight--so many! The birthday celebrations continued with some friends of mine and my daughter and I did some more "choosing a college" learning. We're also getting ready to do a kitchen and flooring remodel so that has been keeping me super busy. Not to mention all the other stuff that we all stay so busy with, right?

What's new with you? I'd love to hear from you! Read on to find some more weekly Meal Planning Magic inspiration!

P.S. I'm changing the delivery time of this email back to a morning time instead of evening....let me know what you prefer! Or if you don't have a preference, that's ok too!

On The Blog - Simple Stovetop Brown and Wild Rice Pilaf

In the reader survey I did recently, several of you all asked for more side dish ideas! I'll be working on adding more recipes to the blog but in the meantime, check out this Simple Stovetop Brown and Wild Rice Pilaf recipe. It's one of the most popular on my blog and really is SOOOOO simple! My family loves it.

Pin it to Pinterest here to remember to make it later!

Let me know if you give it a try!

On The Blog - How to Save Money on Organic food!

We like to buy organic food when we can but it can be expensive! Thankfully a lot more regular grocery stores and wholesale clubs are carrying more and more options. I don't always buy organic food for my family but when I do, I have some strategies that help me save money doing so. Check out my blog post herethat shares some of my favorite tips!

What Caught My Eye (and Ears) This Week

I've decided to change this section into a collection of news stories, books or things I'm listening to that caught my eye (and ears) this week so you can get to know me a bit more and maybe offer some of your own suggestions! Here goes:
* Did you see this story about the Woman Who Finishes A Marathon Carrying Puppy She Rescued Along The Wayalong her race? What a sweet story!
* And maybe you heard about the Who Paid for Hotel Rooms for Chicago’s Homeless During the Deep Freeze? Such a wonderful thing that inspired others to help too!
* I heard this story this week onAll Things Considered about How Laundromats Fold In Learning Spaces For Busy Families What a great idea!
* From the "I never thought of that" files.....check out this Artisan Who Carefully Carves Avocado Pits into Fantastical Figures of the Forest
* Will you be watching the Academy Awards in a couple of weeks? Last weekend I heard a radio program that interviewed the composer of Oscar nominated film for best soundtrack, If Beale Street Could Talk. It was super interesting to hear how he creates music to fit the mood of the film! Check it out here!

What's something new or fun that you've seen this week that's worth sharing? Let me know by replying to this email or sharing in our Meal Planning Magic Community Table Group! I'd love to hear from you!
