Thank you to everyone who voted! Our theme for the art auction this year is Engage in Boundless Expression. The idea was submitted by Sara Whitworth, from Illinois. Thank you Sara for coming up with such a great idea! We can't wait to see what she and all of the artists create!

The Hope for Creativity annual art auction takes place in the fall, but registration for artists is open NOW! Registration is open to artists of all ages and talents. Once registered, artists will be given a wooden 12x16” oval palette to use as their canvas to create a work of art using any style and medium, incorporating the theme "Engage in Boundless Expression" in their piece.

Last year, twenty-two artists from all parts of the world shared their creativity and talents to help us raise money, we are hoping to DOUBLE that number this year! Click here to register!

In other news...

We learned so much at the Legislative Action Day at the State House on February 27th. The event, put together by the Massachusetts Coalition for the Homeless and sponsored by Representative Jim O’Day, provided us with information about the Coalition's 2013-2014 Bill Priorities, highlighted some of the successes of the last year and celebrated the strength of those who have experienced homelessness. Please check out their present policy campaigns here.

We are very excited to be partnering with the Peabody Library Y.A.K.s and their Art Activist Club on a regular basis. They have volunteered to be a part of the Bead Brigade and work with us throughout the year on different projects!

We are getting together to bead during our A.C.T.I.O.N. meeting on April 2nd from 6-7:30p and would love for you to join us! We meet at the First Church on Monument ave in Swampscott. Please let us know if you will be joining us so we will bring enough supplies. It a great way for families or groups to volunteer together… and we could really use the help!

We have four more shelters we are trying to schedule deliveries for over the next month! WE CAN'T WAIT!!!

Peace,

Moira
